Inspiration Monday

For this Inspiration Monday Two Birds gave us Reese Witherspoon, and she wears two noteworthy pieces: an animal-print flowing mini skirt and hot-pink sandals.
I don't think I ever had a short flowing skirt in my wardrobe. I always liked a  more lady-like style skirt.
Also, I already wrote here that I'm not a big fan of wild animal prints. I have two and both of them are tops, and their prints look more like small dots, circles, and irregular shapes, so from far it's hard to say that they areactually leopard prints:)
So I went upside down with this look. I wore a high-waisted pencil skirt and silk blouse. Normally I would never wear this combination with a denim jacket, but for this inspiration I tried to bring down my lady-like look.
Unfortunately, I am not fully pleased with this look. I am thinking that my denim jacket should be brighter and not so dusty-blue-washed ...or maybe the skirt is too dark for this jacket and I need a lighter one...then it would look better. It seems to me that another bright accessory (besides the shoes) is needed here.

Floral mood # 3

I wanted to show how I  layered my floral skirt with something over it this time around.
Technically, this is my 'Floral mood #4', but photos from the "Floral mood #3' saved on a different computer. It has a bunch of viruses and it should be fixed soon.
This time I add a blue t-shirt and a short trench in natural color. Also, I kept my shoes and purse in natural. My necklace has some flowers and leaves, so I can call this outfit "double floral mood."

Laid-back outfit

This is one of my go-to choices that I throw on without even thinking about it, because I know I'll feel comfortable.

 

Crochet dress

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! 

 In the spirit of Easter, I decided to go with some naturals and pastels.
I think the last time I wore this crochet dress I was on a transatlantic cruise. That time I wore it with sneakers. On Sunday I decided to wear it with ankle boots, so I ended up with a cool, festive look, don't you think? 

 

Inspiration Monday

It's Inspiration Monday and this time Two Birds gave us Taylor Swift, who has hot blood and wore a summer dress for a cold  spring day in NY.

 

In my age I should look more like a 'mother-queen' not like an 'infant-princess', but who am I kidding? Maybe it's my last chance to play this role, so I stepped out of the box of my age and wore my summer dress, that I bought to wear at home around the pool.

Artistic Tee

This is my favorite tee, my husband and I call it 'Japanese hedgehog.' I bought  it in Uniqlo a long time ago (maybe it isn't available anymore). Some Japanese artist designed this cute, hug me hedgehog. The print looks like mixing colors on the artist's pallet.

Inspiration Monday

It's Inspiration Monday and this time Two Birds gave us Emmy Possum, who wore a pink cropped leather jacket with a white blouse and skinny jeans. Pretty simple and casual.

 

I was out of CT for few days so I didn't get a chance to be inspired by this outfit and wear a leather jacket (actually I wish my jacket had some bright color, but it doesn't). In Virginia, where I was, we had really summery weather (82 degrees F), everything green and blossoming. People walked around in summer dresses and shorts. Back home, we are also having nice warm weather so instead of the leather jacket, I did some remaking of my old jacket (cut the sleeves off).

First 'Floral mood' you can see here. This time I decided to add a sporty element.

Because of this jacket, both outfits reminded me the 40's.

Floral mood

I'm just getting obsessed with my new midi floral skirt. I couldn't sleep well because in my mind I'm drawing pictures of how I'll wear it. Right now I have at list ten amazingly crazy ideas and I think I will get many more. Don't miss it!

How to wear the Birkenstock type of sandals this year

It's kind of funny. I wore the Birkenstock type of sandals for about seventeen years. I tried them on at my first trip to Germany and fell in love with them; they are very comfy, especially for  long trips.
During that time two pairs were worn to tatters. The last one fell apart last year, just as they became extremely popular in the fashion blogs.

Yesterday, on a 70% off sale, I bought a new pair for me. 

Now, during my upcoming trip to San Diego, it'll be time to try them in a new way and wear them with socks:)) or even more...with socks and cut off jeans that stayed in a box in the garage since the 80s. Hillbilly style!
