Borrowed from Men

Continuing the theme of outfits that were inspired by men's characters' clothing from the British TV series 'Downton Abbey'.
A previous 'Downton Abbey' post can be seen here. Regarding that posting, I wasn't sure what inspired me more - the menswear from the British TV series or the Ralph Lauren F/W 2012 collection based on that drama. This time I even thought about King Edward VIII's clothing.

Too bad I don't have brown oxfords and high Argyle plaid socks.

What I'm wearing:
jacket - Ralph Lauren, vest - thrifted, shirt - Uniqlo, pants - Talbot's, shoes - Vince Camuto, hat - DSW, tie - borrowed from husband

I found that for some reason I couldn't reply to a comment on my own blog. My reply button just disappeared. I want to let you know that I always appreciate the time out of your day for visiting my blog and every comment that you leave here. I can't thank you enough,

Oh, I didn't know you guys get to see Downton Abbey in the States too. Don't you just love that series?
You got the look perfectly....very English countryside. I like it.

I love how fun your take on this!! I like that you added the feminine sweater to give it a great balance.

Thank you for sharing on TBT Fashion Link up and hope to see you this week.
